How Can I Join

I want to join!

That’s fantastic!

There are two ways to take part in the World Record attempt next year:

Team Dance Party!

You can join the event just like any other Zumba party and dance for an hour—or several! We’re aiming to have at least 50 participants dancing each hour, although capacity will depend on the venue.

Tickets for Dance Party participants will be available through our booking system in early 2027.

To help cover the cost of the venue and event supplies, there will be a participation fee. However, we’re also planning to offer a number of free participation options so that cost doesn’t become a barrier.

Team World Record!

To set the record, we must finish with at least 10 participants who have danced continuously from start to finish. To give ourselves a comfortable margin, we’re planning to begin with around 30 participants.

Because a 26-hour record attempt requires carefully timed breaks for food, water, and rest, we will need to limit the number of record participants to somewhere between 30 and 50, depending on demand and the venue.

Not sure whether the record attempt is for you? No problem!

We’ll be hosting a series of training events where you can build up your endurance, learn the choreography, get to know the team, and become familiar with the break schedule. If you finish an eight-hour training session wishing it could have continued, there’s a good chance you’re ready for the full 26-hour challenge!

If more people would like to attempt the record than we have space for, places will be offered based on participation in these training events. This allows us to build a team of people who have demonstrated both the commitment and the endurance needed for a successful record attempt.

Visiting from farther away?

If you don’t live locally and can’t attend most of the training events but would love to take part in the World Record attempt, please get in touch. We’ll do our best to find a fair way for you to demonstrate your readiness and, where possible, accommodate you.

Register your interest

The most important thing you can do right now is let us know you’re interested. That will help us choose a venue that’s the right size for everyone who wants to join.

Team spirit comes first

This event will only succeed if everyone supports one another. We therefore have a zero-tolerance policy for rude or disruptive behaviour at both training events and the World Record attempt itself. Anyone whose behaviour interferes with other participants’ ability to take part safely or enjoy the event may be asked to leave and may not be invited to future training sessions or the record attempt.
