We know that not everyone is comfortable being filmed, and we will do our best to respect everyone’s privacy.
At the same time, filming is an important part of our events.
For the Guinness World Record attempt, the entire event needs to be filmed as evidence that the record requirements have been met. This means that cameras will be present throughout our training events as well, as we all need to get used to having cameras around including the occasional camera, SD card or battery change.
Introducing:
The Third Row Rule
We understand that not everyone wants to appear in our videos. That’s why we have introduced our Third Row Rule for training events:
- Don’t want to appear in our videos? Please stay behind rows 1 and 2.
- If you are dancing in rows 1 or 2, please understand that you may be filmed.
- If you are in row 3 or further back, we will do our best to keep you out of our videos.
- Please respect other participants’ privacy and do not deliberately film people who have chosen to stay in rows 3+.
We will still do our best to avoid including people who have chosen to stay in the back rows whenever we can.
During the World Record Attempt
The rules are different for the actual World Record attempt.
Everyone who is attempting to break the record needs to be filmed. This is necessary for us to provide the required evidence for the Guinness World Record.
If you do not want to appear on video, unfortunately, you will not be able to participate in the record attempt itself.
But you can absolutely still join the Dance Party!
We appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation — and we’ll do our best to make filming as unobtrusive as possible while still getting the footage we need.
